Not a Medical Approach
No one said life is easy or that life is fair. The journey to achieve and sustain true health is a long and at times a convoluted path. We have been led to believe that the medical model, or allopathy is the one and only way to be healthy. The reality is something else.
Allopathy excels at emergency care or where life and death is in question. There is no where I would rather be if I had a broken leg or suffered a stroke or have systemic cancer. BUT, and there has to be a ‘but’, allopathy is severely lacking in the areas of prevention or optimization of health.
Olesky Health Coaching is NOT a medical approach. We don’t diagnose nor do we treat directly a diagnosis or related symptom(s). The medical (allopathic) approach is designed specifically to manage diseases, diagnoses and/or specific symptoms.
As an FDN® Practitioner aka health detective, I work in a non-specific manner. I assume nothing. I focus attention on identifying healing opportunities and the underlying causal/contributing factors regardless of what they may be or what path they may lead. Nothing is off the table and as a result, I am constantly learning.
The medical model relies largely on specialists and one-size-fits-all protocols and therapies. The challenge is that the more you know about any one thing, the less you know about everything. If you wear the glasses of an oncologist, everything you view is through cancer oriented lens. Your focus becomes smaller, honing in on one aspect as if nothing else exists or nothing else can possibly be part of the equation. If only life were that simple.
Where allopathy relies on the use of pharmaceutical drugs, surgery and other invasive procedures, I utilize clinically proven holistic wellness principles as we embark together on a journey of discovery gaining insight into potential blocking factors and the individualized opportunities that exist for overcoming them.
The FDN® model utilizes comprehensive assessment tools including lab testing to uncover HIDDEN internal stressors. Functionally interpreted labs offer valuable insight into:
Hormonal system (thyroid, stress and sex hormones)
Immune system
Digestive system
Detoxification pathways
Energy production
Nervous system
Every individual has unique circumstances surrounding their unwanted and often unresolved health challenges. Running a battery of labs along with comprehensive intake forms ensures that actionable information will be readily uncovered. Nothing is worse than running one lab, and rather than supplying you with answers it merely raises more questions. Questions requiring more lab tests in a search for answers. All the while, time is flowing by.
